Do I need a GP referral to see Mr Alanbuki?

A GP referral is not required to book a private appointment. Mr Alanbuki welcomes self-referrals and insurer-initiated referrals. However, a GP referral letter is helpful as it provides relevant medical background and can facilitate the sharing of any existing test results or imaging. If you do not have a referral, the practice team will guide you through the booking process.

Yes. Online video consultations are available for appropriate cases, including reviewing test results, discussing treatment options, second opinion requests, and follow-up appointments. A face-to-face appointment will be recommended where a physical examination is clinically necessary.

Online consultations are available to patients throughout the UK and internationally, and can be arranged via the booking form on this website.

To make the most of your consultation, please bring:

  • Any GP referral letter or correspondence from your GP

  • Results of any recent blood tests, including PSA results

  • Any imaging reports or scans (CT, MRI, ultrasound)

  • A list of current medications and doses

  • A completed bladder diary if you are attending for urinary symptoms (available to download from this site)

  • Your insurance details and authorisation number, if applicable

Initial consultations are typically scheduled for 30–45 minutes. This allows sufficient time to discuss your symptoms and medical history in full, perform any necessary clinical examination, review existing investigations, and agree a plan for further tests or treatment. Follow-up appointments are usually 20–30 minutes.

  • Welbeck Men’s Health — 1 Welbeck Street, Marylebone, London W1G 0AR (primary London clinic, alternate Fridays 2:00–5:00 pm)

  • Nuffield Health Haywards Heath Hospital — Mondays 8:00 am–1:00 pm

  • Nuffield Health Brighton Hospital — Alternate Tuesdays 8:30 am–1:00 pm & 6:00–8:00 pm

  • The Montefiore Hospital, Hove — Alternate Fridays and Thursdays

  • Spire Gatwick Park Hospital, Horley — Alternate Thursdays 2:00–4:30 pm

  • Online — available for suitable appointments

Yes, absolutely. Seeking a second opinion is a completely appropriate and encouraged step when you have received a diagnosis or treatment recommendation that you wish to review with another specialist. Mr Alanbuki regularly provides independent second opinions and will review all existing reports, scan results, biopsy findings, and investigations to give you a fully informed independent view.

Online second opinion consultations are available where a physical examination is not required.

Private appointments are typically available within one to two weeks. Urgent appointments for example, for visible blood in the urine or acute urinary symptoms can often be arranged more quickly. The practice team aims to respond to all enquiries within one business hour and will endeavour to accommodate urgent requests as promptly as possible.

Mr Alanbuki consults in both English and Arabic. Patients who prefer to communicate in Arabic are welcome to do so, and all clinical notes and correspondence will be provided in English for medical record purposes.
